Bisexual Coal Miners, Live 3D Projection Mapping & Pyrotechnics – Just Another Night on the South Bank…
Another incredible week coming up at the National Theatre’s Watch This Space (part of Inside Out)
We recommend popping along to the Propstore Pop-up bar and getting a nice pint of Meantime, then on to one of these world-class outdoor shows: Carbón Club is a twisted love story featuring disco-dancing, bingo and cabaret with bisexual coal miners, and Cirque Bijou melts together a supreme blend of neo-circus & live 3D-projection mapping.
Carbón Club – Markeliñe (Basque Country, Spain) | Tuesday 7 August 10pm & Wed 8 August 10pm
Join the young José as he enters the ‘Carbón Club’, where the coal miners of the Basque Country – dead or alive – come to tell their stories. Over the footlights, hear of the tales of the bridegroom trapped underground on the eve of his wedding, the sad girl waiting at the mouth of the pit, the unrequited love between two macho miners destined never to be revealed until tragedy strikes and the mysterious nightclub girl who comforts the men after their return to the surface.
Markeliñe present an eccentric cabaret with special effects, music, dance and pyrotechnics.
Project 3Sixty – Cirque Bijou (Bristol, UK) | Fri 10 Aug 10pm, Sat 11 Aug 10pm & Sun 12 Aug 1pm
A massive metropolitan show from Bristol-based Cirque Bijou – free running, biking, acrobatics and live 3D-projection-mapping in an explosive fusion of urban expression and creative technology.
