POUT Fest 2015: Dressed As A Girl | Picturehouse Central | 6 September | 3pm | £13


A special preview screening of Dressed As A Girl, whose star, Holestar, will also perform live. The film is a behind-the-scenes account of six years in the lives of Jonny Woo, John Sizzle, Holestar, Scottee, Amber, Pia and Ma Butcher, leaders in the East End drag performance movement.

Deloitte Ignite: NONCLASSICAL Club Night | Royal Opera House | 5 September | 8pm | £10


The Royal Opera House will remain open after hours for this Nonclassical club nights, part of Deloitte Ignite (see below). Featuring music by Anna Meredith, Mica Levi, Philip Glass, Liszt, FKA twigs, Klavikon, Henry Cowell, John Cage, Sciarrino and Saariaho alongside re-workings of classic love songs by Dawn Penn and Rihanna.

Part of the Wellcome’s Friday Late Spectaculars series – drop-in evenings featuring workshops, creative activities, performances & discussions – Hubbub asks: what does ‘rest’ mean to you?

An evening of special events inspired by the immersive and site-specific ‘Soundscapes’ exhibition (which ends on Sunday).

Expect a pop-up bar with live music from Kit Grill, the chance to improve you drawing skills at a Talk and Draw sessions, performances by sound artists from CRISAP, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in a sensory experience with Gastrophonic and AVM Curiosities.
