Tristan Town, saarf London promoter, shares his London
Tristan Town gives us a glance into his London, including his nan’s infamous bar ‘Little Nan’s Bar’, The Cavendish Arms & Lewisham’s number one eatery…
Tell us about your favourite secret/offbeat places in London?
For food it’s got to be Meza Mangal on Lewisham way! Going out it’s obviously The Bunker Club on Deptford Broadway!
Also I am in Love with Deptford market! I don’t really do relaxation, but when I do then walking around Hilly Fields and Ladywell Cemetery is pretty special.
What offbeat events are on your To Do List in the next month or so?
The South Lambeth Market at the Cavendish Arms in Stockwell – Great foods, arts and fashions. Also my make Katy Worley’s 30th Birthday.. She’s having drinks at Little Nan’s bar on the 3rd May and then next door to Bunker.. Everyone welcome!
Go to a house party with a bag full of 6 for Fiver Strongbows and a pack of duty free cigarettes that my flatmate Sam bourt for me.
What’s your ultimate London confession?
I cried when they got rid of the ‘4 Free 6’ bendy bus..
What event or product of your own would you like to pimp on To Do List?
Little Nan’s Bar in Deptford! I helped my Nan open up her own bar in the secret back room on Bunker Club. It’s Open every Thursday – Saturday 5pm – 11pm, and you can have Cocktails in Teapots, Draft and Bottled Lagers, Ciders and Ales… A Huge selection of liquor, all at Vintage Prices! You also get a FREE shot of Werthers Original Vodka everytime you tag in on facebook when in the Bar!
I am Joint Editor at To Do List. I like free, cheap & offbeat London, especially: cabaret, art, theatre, pop-ups, eating out, quirky films, museums, day trips, social enterprise & much more.
