Life is a cabaret! London’s most spectacular show restaurants…part one

We noticed there seems to be so many gorgeous Geminis all having birthdays this month. This inspired us to write a long overdue article about the rise of the ‘show’ restaurant. These are our absolute favourite places in London for celebrating the wonder and madness of the modern condition. Please click the links to find out more as we believe these unique treats are not to be missed (and should not close down)

Circus – Best for live spectacular circus at your table

The bar was rammed when we visited Circus London in Covent Garden, the restaurant however, was a delightful experience. Live risque circus and cabaret, beautiful asian fusion food and attentive sexy waiting staff, left my Dad crying out for more…BRAVO!

Soho Theatre Downstairs – Best for underground (physically) top name cabaret in seedy Soho

We’re pretty excited at Soho Theatre’s new cabaret space: Soho Theatre Downstairs. It opens with the hilarious Pyjama Men and we completely believe ‘REAL SOHO IS BACK WITH A CABARET BANG!’

The Tiroler Hut – Best for Yodelling

We fell in love with this place in Westbourne Grove for the following reasons: it’s pretty much the only Austrian restaurant in London, their ‘infamous’ Cow-bell Cabaret is joyously kitsch and brilliant and finally because they serve bratwurst by the bucketload mmmm!

Nikitas – Best for Russian gourmet fare with added eccentric accordionist called Roman

We’ve always had the best birthdays here, we think it’s the combination of their gorgeous Rose flavoured vodka, singing Sex Bomb with Roman and meaty food to die for.

Dali’s Cirque du Surrealism – Best for surrealist drag cabaret

A surreal Seven Dials dining experience, inspired by the weird and wonderful life of Salvador Dali – Spanish tapas (yum!), wines and mind-boggling entertainment!
