New Venue Number 90 Unveils Grand Opening Weekend Programme

Number 90, the stunning new canal-side multi-arts venue, has unveiled its grand opening weekend programme!

They Say: A carefully designed line-up encapsulating East London’s finest cultural collectives will showcase the venue’s great diversity and stern determination to work alongside the best local artists, musicians, producers and merchants within Hackney Wick’s flourishing and expanding cultural ‘scape. Entry to the venue is free across the entire launch weekend featuring the best street food chefs, live bands and DJs.

Number-90-Hackney-Bar-And-RestaurantFounders Remi Landaz and Bruno Cabral have not only put together a stunning, spacious canal-side bar and restaurant right in the heart of Hackney Wick, but also a grand opening weekend which promises to encapsulate the venue’s ambitions to showcase the best local artists, producers, food merchants, musicians & DJs.

On Thursday, Number 90 Head Chef Leon Borja serves up a special one-off Brazilian-themed menu, alongside handpicked guest food vendors: Hanoi Kitchen will be cooking Vietnamese street food with a European twist, and Thank Cluck will put KFC to shame with amazing fried chicken. Oh, and there will be plenty of booze to be had.

In the bar, TRUMAN’S provide their refreshing beers to keep your thirst quenched – that is, if you’re not swayed by the cutting-edge selection of cocktails….

Oh, and a bit of art… Charlie McFarley will launch the first monthly exhibition, “described by some as a creative saboteur, disrupting the wonderful world of children’s cartoon art and forcing the viewer into a landscape of intricately painted nightmares that seem to smile back at you.”
