The charity shop is where we first discovered Nana Mouskouri in the bargain bin but her thick rimmed glasses on her legendary covers stood out and made us listen.
Mouskouri’s music however, is far from trash, she is an inspiration who has recorded over 1,550 songs, sold over 300 million records and has had a career spanning 60 years of inimitable chanson.

The legendary Greek chanteuse will perform a selection of her greatest hits from her multi-lingual repertoire, as well as tracks from her recently released 134th record: ‘Forever Young’, which features cover versions of songs she describes as ‘the soundtrack of her life’, with songs by artists including Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Paul McCartney & John Lennon, and Udo Lindberg.
Celebrating 60 years in music, Nana Mouskouri’s unparalleled career has seen her sell over 300 million albums worldwide, having recorded more than 1550 songs in English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Japanese, and her native Greek.
Rising to fame in the early 1960’s, Nana came to prominence across Europe with her first hit ‘The White Rose of Athens’ – for many an introduction to the iconic black-rimmed glasses of a once in a lifetime, multi-generational artist.
In the 1980’s, Nana Mouskouri released two of her most successful singles that were hits across Europe: ‘Je chante avec toi liberté’ or ‘Song for Liberty’ in English, and ‘Only Love’, a Number 2 Hit Single in the UK in 1986.
