London Wonderground is back to tantalise the South Bank . Let’s ‘Limbo’!
We are thrilled to hear that the rather splendid Coney Island-themed pop-up festival London Wonderground is returning to the South Bank for a super 2013 summer season!
The headline show this year, in the vein of the last year’s hit ‘Cantina’, will be ‘Limbo’: a heady fusion of circus, magic, spectacle and dance.

Here’s the word from the producers of the show:
“Exotic encounters unfold between a mystical coterie of highly skilled international performers from New York, London, Brussels and Berlin. Witness heart-stopping illusions, gravity-defying manoeuvres and explosions of hybrid dance, all infused by delirious melodies and hedonistic beats from LIMBO’s live band of musical chameleons.”
Other London Wonderground highlights include:
- Alternative Eurovision: Crazy, camp and kitsch, this show is sure to put a smile on any Eurovision fan’s dial. Sequins at the ready – this competition’s going to get messy!
- Al Murray’s Southbank Saloon: A rollicking variety show hosted by the nation’s favourite pub philosopher with super guests from the worlds of comedy, music for 3 nights only.
- Horne Section: Alex Horne and his motley crue bring their unique musical variety stand-up extravaganza to London Wonderground.
