London To Do List – 28 July – 3 August
We’re getting ready for our trip up to the Edinburgh Fringe (we’re packing appropriately: suncream, umbrellas, shorts and thick jumpers), but we’ve still found time to throw together another fab London To Do List…
// Tuesday //
Taking Rainer Fassbinder’s ‘The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant’ as its starting point, Love Kills is a play “fuelled by ambition, power struggles, sexual revolutions and catastrophic romantic love. Character and narrative structure are re-examined; gender swaps and S&M are never far from the surface…”
// Wednesday //
More Fringe – this time a free preview of the sixth Hot August Fringe, which kicks off (unsurprisingly) on August 1st. There will be performances from: Aletia Upstairs, Voodoo Mick, Freddie and Holly, Madame Katastroff, Marcus Reeves, Fag Ash Monologues & Baby Lame.
// Weekend //
The sixth year of Hackney WickED Art Festival, which champions creativity through exhibitions, open studios, performance, fêtes, music, workshops and more…
A whole host of summer intrigues, experiments and artistic unravellings of cinematic, cultural and strange scientific pursuits.
They Say: Shuffle is about living in the city – in the best way possible. It’s about the quality of spaces in the city and the interconnectedness of the people who exist in these places.
// August Means… #EdFringe! //
