‘Parks in your Pocket’ – Free Mobile London Park Map
Today City Bridge Trust has launched the Capital’s first London park map. The free map to enables Londoners to discover locate their nearest park, green space, nature reserve, play area or even a local community garden project.
This interactive map covers all 12 Inner London boroughs and this comprehensive site allows Londoners for the first time to explore around 1,000 of London’s parks and green spaces near home and work.
Accessible on your smartphone or tablet, Parklife London geolocates you, bringing up all the parks near your location. Or you can open up the desktop version to check out a new outdoor event or a volunteer opportunity to take on.
London is the ‘greenest’ major city in Europe, and the third ‘greenest’ city of its size in the world, with 35,000 acres of public parks, woodlands and gardens. This equates to 40% of London’s total surface area being made up of publicly accessible green space.
