Science Museum Lates | September 25 | 18:45-22:00 | FREE

As featured in our weekly To Do List, Science Museum Lates returns tonight with a focus on photography – and you can also catch Lily Cole discussing her new ‘gift culture’ social network Impossible.com!

Science Museum’s Lates is a free night for adults (no children getting in the way) that takes place on the last Wednesday of the month. The focus this month is on photography, and highlights include:

  • Science Museuma mix of talks, workshops and interactive events
  • a chance to meet the curators of the Science Museum photographic collection
  • an invitation for you to try your hand at taking some truly stunning photographs of the objects on display using the latest kit in your pocket – your smartphone?
  • an opportunity to visit new arts-led gallery Media Space

But that’s not all! You can also book in advance to see Lily Cole discussing an exciting new project in the IMAX Theatre!

They Say: Actress and campaigner Lily Cole explains the inspiration and motivation behind her new ‘gift culture’ social network Impossible.com, and will unveil the Shinto Wish Tree at the September Lates. Talking to Lily is the Science Museum’s Roger Highfield, co-author of the book SuperCooperators, who will sum up how Lily’s work fits into the latest scientific research on cooperation. After a brief conversation between Roger and Lily, there will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
