Jeeves and Wooster announced in the West End with Stephen Mangan
We are excited to hear that Stephen Mangan will be starring as the buffoon Bertie Wooster in Jeeves and Wooster ‘Perfect Nonsence’ at the Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End in October. Accompanied by the charming Matthew Macfadyen the show is sure to to be an autumn delight.
Stephen Mangan said: ‘I am ridiculously excited at the prospect of playing the mentally negligible Bertie Wooster on stage and can hardly wait to stagger into the glorious sunshine of Wodehouse’s world. And with Jeeves, in the shape of Matthew Macfadyen by my side, what could possibly go wrong?’
The script is written by a sibling team of Wodehouse aficionados called the Goodale Brothers who are certain to bring the much loved TV characters to the stage.
