If you’ve got a great idea to use the internet for good or evil Internet Week Europe is for you. Featuring panel events, workshops, incubator sessions with investors and lots of free start up advice be sure to get along to some of these events.
Now in its third year, Internet Week Europe returns to London for a European-minded event with a distinctly London twist, with the festival spanning from East London’s ‘Silicon Roundabout’ through to HQ of tech powerhouses like YouTube, to cultural institutions like the V&A.
Our continent’s flourishing creative communities will descend on the capital for a celebration of the wild and wondrous web: From five-a-side football tournaments with a twist, to blasting virtual reality aliens out the sky in Hoxton, to a chance to nose around the fabled Google HQ, there’s an event during this digital festival to celebrate every corner of the internet.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
· Meet The YouTube Creators
A chance to explore the fabled halls of the Google HQ and its newly launched YouTube Creator Space. Come along and thank those who introduced the world to the comedy value of cats, atonal singing and the dancing abilities of Grandmas in person.
· Protein Forum: Is the internet changing our brain?
Expert speakers discuss whether or not Google is making us stupid – is reliance on the net reducing our attention spans and memories? Discuss it here
· RetrospectGIF
A chance to look back over 25 glorious years of the most-loved GIF in an exhibition that promises a slice of digital history served with a heavy dollop of nostalgia, organised by mcgarrybowen
· Spogo Five-A-Side Football Tournament
In honour of the best digital brands and agencies, and turning digital to physical, spogo are hosting a five-a-side football tournament at the Power League flagship Wembley venue, in partnership with Trace TV.
· The Hoxton Square Shield Attack
Intergalactic arcade fun projected in Hoxton. Bring a smartphone and blast attacking aliens out of the sky! Organised by Unit9.
