Hamish Jenkinson Emerges From The Old Vic Tunnels To Tell Us What’s On His London To Do List
Hamish Jenkinson: Director of the Old Vic Tunnels, man about town, general good egg.
We lured him away from the tunnels long enough to ask him our favourite questions – here’s his London To Do List…
The end of the world according the Mayan calendar is on the 21st of December, so Mad Ferret Productions have built Noah’s Psychedelic Dreamboat. Check it out.
What are your favourite things to do for free or little money in London?
We’ve got the best galleries in the world and most of them are free, and more green spaces than other capital cities. Use them.
What offbeat events are on your To Do List in the next month or so?
Dinner at Gingerline, a pop up restaurant that appears anywhere along the East London Line; then theatre – I’ve got tickets to The Architects, which is Shunt’s new show (one of To Do List’s Top 10 Christmas Shows), and Sunday Wise (more on that later).
What’s your ultimate London confession?
I live in Peckham cuz it’s really cool. But I’d quite like to live in Hampstead as it’s really lovely and everyone lives in big houses.
What event or product of your own would you like to pimp on To Do List?
I have launched a very new and exclusive Sunday lunch experience for those that like to drink while they think at The Club at The Ivy – it’s called Sunday Wise.
