The UK’s leading falconry course and display centre, The Hawking Centre, occupies the Somerset House courtyard on Saturday afternoon for a display of beautiful/scary birds of prey, including hawks, eagles and falcons.
This free falconry display at Somerset House coincides with the major exhibition Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore!, a celebration of the extraordinary life and wardrobe of the late British patron of fashion and art.
Isabella had a passion for birds of prey, and organised falconry lessons on the grounds of her country house for close friend and protégé Alexander McQueen,
Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! continues until March 2nd, and features film screenings and perfume masterclasses. The exhibition is open 10am – 6pm daily and until 9pm on Thursdays, at the Embankment Galleries, Somerset House.
