The Ultimate Easter Food Porn in London

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The easter food eggstravaganza has arrived and we’ve picked the 5 ultimate gluttonous delights that are sure to bring the yum to Easter 2016.

Deep Fried Crème Egg Burger | Studio Kitchen, within K West Hotel & Spa in Shepherds Bush

Oooher the Crème Egg Burgers is back and this time they’re Deep Fried. Studio Kitchen, within K West Hotel & Spa in Shepherds Bush, will be serving up sweet crème egg burgers (which went viral last year), with an added layer of extravagance – batter.

The mini slider burgers are made from a sweet brioche bun dipped in white chocolate and dusted in raspberry sprinkles. This is topped with the ‘burger’ – a gooey melted crème egg, encased in golden batter and topped with mascarpone cream and a good helping of strawberry jelly. Like a scone only 100 times better!

The Crème Egg Burger will be available on the dessert menu and on the new Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea from 20th March 2016, to coincide with the first day of spring. The sliders are priced at £5.50 for a portion of two, and the Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea starts from £24.50 per person.

Hot Cross Bunny Burger | The Gun Docklands

This could be the marmite of burgers. To Rupert this rabbit burger in a hot cross bun concoction sounds revolting but to Stuart our gourmand it sounds like an unmissable treat.

Here’s what The Gun say about the burger…

Priced at £12.50, the rabbit patty is teamed with smoked bacon, mushroom and topped with a generous slab of Lincolnshire rarebit before being sandwiched between a sweet, light and fluffy hot cross bun. Served with thick-cut chips and crunchy carrot mustard slaw, wash down with a complimentary bottle of Long Arm Brewing Co. beer.

Available from Friday 25th March – Friday 1st April, £12.50

Bunzilla | Byron, Various Branches

Byron’s head chef Fred’s went to Japan, and came back inspired to create the epic Bunzilla burger. Bunzilla is a 6oz soy-glazed patty, topped with miso-roasted bacon and an onion ring for crunch and sweetness, plus a dab of wasabi mayonnaise, all atop a bed of shredded white cabbage, served in a classic squishy bun. Homemade Japanese-style pickles on the side instead of our classic sliced pickle are the finishing touch.
