Doomsday Jockeys at Edinburgh Fringe 2026 ★★★★
★★★★ Doomsday Jockeys | Pizza Geeks
The indescribably outre Hey Mum team deliver a triple bill of brilliantly bonkers anti-comedy which will leave you equal parts tickled and tormented.
Ros & Looch, Lucas Evamy, and El Gold are the perfect antidote to mainstream comedy at the Fringe, this hour of wilfully absurd comedy-art challenging the audience to laugh through the epic cringe.
Evamy is determined to get through his 20 minutes with a record number of hat drops, mic-stand calamities and repeated lines, peddling a fine line in good-bad stand-up that triumphantly disregards all the rules in the comedians’ rule book. Gold, as a deadpan human statue, is as dry as dry comedy comes – our one sadness is that Gold & Evamy spend little time on stage together, a meeting of minds which never fails to leave us choking out surprised laughs.
Ros & Looch round things off with a tragic melodrama which perhaps tests the patience a little too far – their contribution feels the most like it could benefit from its own show, and the anti-climax ending may leave you gagging for one last, big, cathartic guffaw.
Definitely the Fringe show least interested in making its audience laugh – Doomsday Jockeys challenges you to enjoy the awks!

I am Joint Editor at To Do List. I like: nice pubs, film marathons, not doing real marathons, bad comedy, plays/musicals with shorter second halves, and the Oxford comma.
