To Do List Daily: Lynn Ruth Miller: Not Dead Yet – Sun 24 Jan

Possibly the oldest comedienne on the circuit, Lynn Ruth Miller proves that being funny is not just for the young with hit show Not Dead Yet at The Crazy Coqs.

Award-winning, San Francisco based octogenarian Lynn Ruth Miller brings her fabulous show full of songs, laughter, tears and inspiration to on our favourite venues in London: The Crazy Coqs.

A regular of the Brighton and Edinburgh Festivals, Miller has toured Russia, even appeared on Britain’s Got Talent (losing to a dog!), and has no plans to retire soon.

They Say: “Lynn Ruth Miller is 81 years old. She has lived a lot and nearly died a few times, too. The 2013 Time Out & Soho Cabaret Award Winner guides us through 8 decades with original songs, unforgettable comedy and inspiring stories with her show Not Dead Yet.

Not Dead Yet is a journey, which starts with her Jewish parents and sister in Ohio then takes in school, college, two marriages, major health challenges both physical and mental, a cross-country tour, numerous careers and a late-blooming passion for performance. Miller’s storytelling is vivid, funny and shrewd, economically noting psychological quirks in others and herself.”

I am Joint Editor at To Do List. I like: nice pubs, film marathons, not doing real marathons, bad comedy, plays/musicals with shorter second halves, and the Oxford comma.
