To Do List Daily: BasicSpace – Thu 18 Feb

The Peckhaissance continues with BasicSpace, a brand new site-sensitive performing arts festival in Peckham!

The inaugural BasicSpace festival boasts an intriguing line up, from Ransack Theatre’s Enveloped in Velvet – “four people striving for raw sensation amid beer, neglect and teeth” – to Broken Stereo’s The Contemptible Case of Charles Peace – placing “audiences in the middle of a crime thriller game, where survival depends on logic, quick thinking and in whom you place your trust” – via a hypothetical zombie apocalypse, a performance with no actors and MUCH MORE!

They Say:

We believe that the best spaces can speak for themselves. They keep their most valuable secrets locked away, only to be discovered by the fiercest imaginations. In order to fully bring to light all the hidden possibilities of a site we will let multiple emerging theatre companies in to run wild and develop their work with a focus on being sensitive to the space. The shows will grow alongside each other, each production brushing shoulders with the next.
