Classical Christmas: Karoloke & Encore Presents
Christmas CAN be classy, and we’re excited about two very different musical events in London this week which aim to celebrate a Classical Christmas.
The Coveryard decks the halls of Palm2 in Hackney for three nights of inventive chamber-pop arrangements from Silent Night to Santa Baby, from Let It Snow to Let It Go – all accompanied by a live 12-piece chamber orchestra.
Roll up for an alternative Christmas sing-along which aims to reflect the breadth of the 21st-century Christmas songbook – and, acknowledging the mini-Scrooge within all of us, the Coveryard has commissioned new ‘anti-carols’ that will take a sideways look at contemporary Christmas.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Get Tickets” color=”success” size=”lg” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fbilletto.co.uk%2Fkarolaoke2015||target:%20_blank”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
A concert sticking three fingers up to the traditional concert format and giving you not one, but two intervals in which to digest, discuss and delight in the music you’ve just heard while sipping complimentary drinks in the glorious setting of the Chapel at King’s College London.
Expect classical performances from Joe Davies (Bach: Prelude from Cello Suite No. 6), Morgan Buckley (Tárrega: Capricio árabe / Piazzolla: Primavera Porteña) and Laure Chan (Ysaÿe: Caprice d’après l’Etude en forme de Valse de C. Saint-Saëns), followed by contemporary Ensemble x.y, and a Folk finale from Moore, Moss, Rutter.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Get Tickets” color=”success” size=”lg” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Ftigmus.com%2Fencore-presents-a-concert-in-three-halves%2Fkings-college-chapel%2F187||target:%20_blank”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
