4 reasons to go to Chorus Festival at Southbank Centre
Southbank Centre’s annual Chorus festival celebrates and explores the power of singing together.
2015’s festival brings thousands of singers together across the Easter weekend and beyond to perform, learn, enjoy and be inspired.
Here’s 4 reasons why you should head along to the Southbank Centre…
1. More than 100 choirs perform across the site over Easter weekend, all for free, curated by Southbank Centre’s year-round vocal initiative, Voicelab.
2. Over 1,000 voices, including Mark De-Lisser and guest stars from BBC’s The Voice, fill Royal Festival Hall on Easter Sunday for Sing Out Sunday (5 April)
3. World premiere of James Taylor Quartet’s Rochester Mass including an opportunity for amateur singers to join a two-day workshop to perform in the show (6 April)
4. Get classical a cappella with The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain collaborate with Swedish ensemble The Real Group (12 April)
